Michael Mina will soon debut his second Fontainebleau restaurant (the first being Michael Mina 74) and though there's no "official" opening date yet, the unveiling will happen sometime in November. The two-story, indoor-outdoor Stripsteak (4441 Collins Ave. Miami Beach) the second outpost of Mina's Las Vegas original, takes over the former Gotham Steak off the historic chateau lobby in the hotel.
Executed by chef de cuisine Derrick Roberts (a chef whose previous experience includes stints at Tribeca Grill and The Ritz-Carlton St. Thomas), a press release reports that "the vast menu runs the gamut, overflowing with options." Some highlights include an American vs. Australian wagyu main-plate, Berkshire pork and Australian tomahawk.
"I'm thrilled to continue what's been a wonderful partnership with Fontainebleau Miami Beach," says Mina in a statement adding, "Stripsteak Miami will perfectly align with the hotel's luxury and glamour by offering a world-class steakhouse experience in an alluring setting that melds the past, present and future of dining." Stay tuned for an official opening date and more.
