A few months into its life at 7420 Biscayne Blvd, Loba is ready to hop on the hotly-debated brunch train. Owner Jessica Sanchez tells us she'll first host a pop up this Sunday from 10:30 to 3 p.m. to try out the new menu items on whoever shows up (no reservations are required). At the end of their meal guests will be handed a little notebook in which they can write down what did or didn't work for them. After that, "the first weekend of November we will start a definitive brunch program." But why wait that long to know what you're going to get?
On the upcoming menu, there are small plates like chia pudding with mango, coconut pistachios and honey; family-style sharing plates like "Madre Mia" (arepa, scrambled egg, roasted tomato, scallion, queso fresco $12) and brunch cocktails like "Neruda Confessions" (manos negras, st. germain, peach bitters, lemon).
