'Silence of the Lambchops' at The Fed; Get Ready for the SoBeWFF Madness

Dinners have creepy names for halloween.

UPPER EAST SIDE — Leave it to The Federal to name a dinner "Silence of the Lambchops" and they will. Owners Ani Meinhold and Cesar Zapata have tapped chef Todd Erickson to join them in the kitchen for a five-course collaborative with wine pairings on Wednesday, October 29.  Dinner is, per a press release, based on "everyone's favorite gourmet cannibal Hannibal Lecter." The menu, priced at $65 per person, will be "frighteningly adventurous and deliciously death defying."

SOUTH BEACH — How did we get here again so fast? It's South Beach Wine and Food Festival time and tickets are officially on sale as of this week. Better start dieting now in preparation. Check out their Facebook page or follow founder Lee Schrager on twitter for regular updates. [EaterWire]

SOUTH BEACH — In an effort to help raise funds for Ayuda, an organization that supports underprivileged children, The Local House owner Ciro Campagnoli is hosting a paddle-boarding event called Make Waves for Ayuda. For more information on how to participate head over this way. Make sure to head back to The Local House after for brunch.
