The Rum Line, Loews Miami Beach Hotel's New Cocktail Bar

Florida-inspired cocktails and small plates by Lure, coming soon.

Acclaimed New York City restaurateurs John McDonald, Joshua Pickard and Josh Capon (the triple Js behind NYC and Miami's Lure Fishbar) have teamed up with local restaurant operators Seth Alexander and Sol Alvarez aka (the Dynamic Duo) to open a cocktail concept and private event space called The Rum Line.

"Featuring original and long lost recipes from a much simpler time in Florida's past, The Rum Line aims to resurrect classic bartending techniques to create unique one-of-a-kind elixirs," writes a press release. Think punches in scorpion bowls, classically concocted daiquiris and a selection of nautical-inspired drinks made with house-made mixers.

As for food, The Rum Line like will also have a menu of small plates (like jerk chicken lollipops, crispy oysters and mini lobster rolls) and raw bar offerings created by the culinary team at Lure and served up in a 60 seat indoor/outdoor space right next door to the restaurant. No set opening date as of yet, but the plan is for the bar to launch early November.
