ART BASEL — Chef Jeremiah Bullfrog is celebrating the fifth anniversary of his GastroPod Airstream with two venues as part of Art Basel this week. GastroPod 2.0 is paying homage to Pulp Fiction by serving Big Kahuna burgers and "some serious gourmet shit" coffee in a shipping container-turned-kitchen at 160 NW 26th St. in Wynwood. GastroPod is also catering Miami Project with a noodle bar and a grab-and-go cafe.
MIAMI BEACH — If you like pork, booze, and music, head to Freehand Miami on Sunday for Swig n' Swine. For $30 at the door, you get unlimited meat, sides, dessert, giant barrels of punch, and sets by DJs Mia Moretti and Myles Hendrik, all hosted by the Bon Vivants. All proceeds go to the Overtown Youth Center.
FORT LAUDERDALE — South African wine aficionados should head to the Whole Foods on N Federal Highway tomorrow afternoon. Winemaker Jean Smit of Boekenhoutskloof Winery will be on hand from noon to 3 p.m to talk, sign bottles, and most importantly, pour wines to sample.
