Looks Like Yet Another Stephen Starr Restaurant is Coming to Town

Philadelphia restauranteur announces plans for new Bal Harbour concept on heels of other restaurant announcements

Bal Harbour Shops

Rumors have been circulating since the summer that Stephen Starr would be opening another restaurant in the ritzy Bal Harbor shops. Well, looks like there was truth to that as he confirmed to Miami.com earlier today that those plans were indeed in the works.

Taking over the former La Goulue space in the summer of 2015, the TBA restaurant will be designed by Shawn Hausman, according to Miami.com, who has designed several of Starr's restaurant spaces.

This comes just weeks after an announcement that Starr will be opening two other concepts soon including Ted's at YoungArts later this month and Continental on Miami Beach in the spring of 2015.

When Starr's latest concept in Bal Harbour opens, just a few doors down from another concept of his, Makoto, it will be his seventh dining outpost in South Florida alone.

And according to the Miami.com article, he alludes to the fact that he isn't done expanding his empire in Miami. Where to next? We aren't sure. Stay tuned for more details. [Miami.com]
