MIAMI BEACH - The Broken Shaker, there are plenty of reasons to visit it, but here's an extra: Off Season Off Duty Mondays, a series in which "some of Miami's most notorious personalities" get behind the bar themselves. This time around (March 3) it's Freehand's brand director, Roy Alpert, who's serving up complimentary tequila cocktails from 10 to 11 p.m. [EaterWire]

MIAMI BEACH - SushiSamba is getting as close as they can to celebrating Carnaval in Rio de Janeiro, right here in Miami. On Tuesday, March 4, they're busting out the capoeira, batucada drummers, samba dancers, cachaca cocktails and a Carnaval-themed menu. The festivities begin at 8 p.m. [EaterWire]

MIAMI BEACH - Just a reminder that Yard House's newest location in Miami Beach is now open. They're open seven days a week, they serve food, they have 140 draft beer selections and they'll welcome you with open arms, and by open arms we mean arms full of booze. [EaterWire]
