Nearly two years after announcing its new Brickell location, China Grill (owned by Jeffrey Chodorow and team) is finally opening its new and improved doors. The restaurant, which closed its 17 year mainstay on South Beach and announced a relocation to Brickell way back when, still doesn't have an official opening date, but is due for a summer completion. A press release reports that this location will feature more than 13,000 square feet indoors, a 3,900 square foot patio and a grand total of 452 seats.

Beverly Raphael, president of RRC Associates (group behind the restaurant project) says, the new location will be "daring and innovative, redefining the meaning of restaurant," adding that the amped up China Grill will feature unique high-end interior finishes, multiple levels of dining from mezzanine to a lounge area on the second floor, an elevator and floating stairs connecting the different dining levels as well as additional raised private dining on the patio with "individual 'bird nests' constructed with special weave materials." Stay tuned for an official opening date.
