War History In Miami; The Biltmore's Al Capone Suite

Via University of Miami

1) Everywhere: Miami has played a role in a number of American wars, most significantly World War II. Did you know that Enola Gay, the mother the plane was named after, lived here? Yep. And, of course, 500,000 service trained here. Do check out the Memorial Day map, here.

2) Coral Gables: The Biltmore Hotel's legendary Al Capone Suite may or may never have actually played host to Al Capone, but a mobster named "Fatty" was murdered here, and Curbed spent the night!

3) Downtown: There's been a change of plans per the location of David Beckham's new soccer stadium in Miami. He wants it to play center stage on the city's waterfront, which means there may be big changes coming to Miami's new Museum Park.
