Michelle Bernstein Opening First Miami Beach Restaurant

New, 1 comment

Hot on the heels of her announcement that Michy's will be closing and turning into an all new concept comes the news that chef Michelle Bernstein is opening a new restaurant in Miami Beach at the Thompson hotel. In reporting on the upcoming Thompson Miami Beach, a Martin Brudnizki-designed, 380 room, Commune Hotels and Resorts-owned hotel, HotelChatter notes that "The Thompson will also have two pools, a small spa, three bars and a 267-seat "classic brasserie" from James Beard Foundation Award-winning chef and Miami native Michelle Bernstein."

They also report that the chef's not on her own. Bernstein will oversee food and beverage along with Karim Masri and Nicola Siervo of KNR Hospitality Group (team behind spots like The Dutch, Cavalli and Quattro).
