BAL HARBOUR — On May 19, Makoto is partnering up with John Gauntner (described as the "world's leading non-Japanese sake expert" and apparently the only "non-Japanese certified Master of Sake Tasting") to host a sake-paired, five-course dinner. Expect items like hamachi pastrami air bread, robata grilled kobe and seasonal desserts along with sake from four different brewers. The dinner costs $100 per person. Reservations can be made by calling (305) 864-8600. [EaterWire]
BRICKELL — If you're looking for another Mother's Day option (other than what we provided on this fantastic map), Area 31 has a pretty good deal, too. The restaurant's offering a brunch buffet (from 11:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.) that's $70 per person, $35 for children under 12 years and free for kids three or younger. [EaterWire]
BRICKELL — This May 12 marks OTC's next beer paired dinner. This one is a five-course meal paired with five Cigar City brews including one called "Lue Gim Gang," which is being poured for the first time in Miami. Tickets are $55 per person and can be purchased this way. [EaterWire]
