Condolences to the family and friends of Monroe Udell, founder of the iconic Jaxson's Ice Cream Parlor, who died yesterday at the age of 86. Tomorrow Jaxson's will be closed, but today, the shop, which was opened in 1956, remains open. Employees of the ice cream parlor write on Facebook, "Monroe would have wanted it that way." [CPC]
