Shuckers Making a Comeback with New Steel Deck

Following last year's scary incident of their deck collapsing into the water with nearly 100 people on it, Shuckers Bar & Grill began undergoing some massive reconstruction. According to WSVN, that makeover is almost complete and "a local building inspector is giving the project a thumbs up." WSVN writes that Shuckers manager is hoping for a July re-opening. As for those worried about history repeating itself, this new deck is built with concrete and metal rods, many steps up from its former wood foundation. "I think you can put a whole Heat game in there, and it won't collapse," says inspector Mike Arronte.
