Slated to open sometime this summer, South Miami's newest eatery, Centolire, will be an Italian trattoria helmed by Neapolitan chef and New York City restaurateur Roberto Patriarca (formerly of NYC's Felidia and I Trulli). The restaurant will offer homemade pastas and authentic specialties from various regions of Italy, with an emphasis on Sicily, and an extensive selection of wines. Menu highlights include slow roasted lamb shank, orecchiette with rabbit ragu and Mediterranean branzino. Taking over the former Casa Toscana space, the 1,200 square foot Centolire with 52 seats will feature rustic decor with wood furnishings and a dark-stained wood bar. No official opening date as of yet, but a press release informs that Centolire will offer guests complimentary antipasto and a glass of their signature house prosecco throughout the entire month of the grand opening. Stay tuned for official dates.
