Khong River House has significantly expanded and altered its lunch and dinner menus. Don't worry, favorites like Mekong spicy green papaya salad and Laotian drunken rice noodles aren't going anywhere, but the restaurant is trying out a bunch of new recipes. "The evolution of Khong's menu is part of our continued dedication to exploring the intricacies of Southeast Asia and its diverse cuisine," says Kunkel. "It's a collaborative effort between our family of chefs who each bring a unique element to the table that allows us to take the menu to a new level – Clay's skill and technique, Ricky's experience with Japanese cuisine and Mama Pai's Thai influences."
Keeping in line with Khong's exploration of Asian cuisine and dishes from around the Mekong River area, Kunkel and the team have added to their menu items like flash-fried calamari salad ($15), Banh Mi sandwiches ($15), Char Sui Chinese beef short ribs ($21), green curry salmon ($18) and more.
