The Gloria and Emilio Estefan-owned Bongos Cuban Cafe at the AmericanAirlines Arena in Downtown is closing after 15 years in business, reports Miami.com. The site notes that the Estefans have decided not to renew their lease, but they aren't abandoning the Downtown area altogether. Apparently, a new concept, Estefan Kitchen, has been in the works for some time now and it should open Downtown "within 18 months or so." AmericanAirlines won't be left empty handed either, "[t]he restaurant will still maintain a concession inside the arena," writes Miami.com. Other Bongos Cuban Cafe locations will remain open.
