Congratulations are in order for local Broken Shaker bartender Gui Jaroschy. Jaroschy was just one of the 12 bartenders chosen from across the country to create a cocktail for the Smithonian's National Museum of American History and Smithsonian Channel Raise a Glass to History celebration, which honors the 200th anniversary of the Star-Spangled Banner. His red, patriotic themed "Last Call of Duty" cocktail uses locally sourced ingredients "to represent the spirit of the American farmer" along with an up-and-coming Gin brand, Aviation, that, "represent the small-business-minded, capitalist spirit of the nation." Learn all about the contest and how to make his drink here. [Eaterwire]
