Beloved pastry chef Antonio Bachour is opening up his own bakery on Brickell Avenue. An article from Short Order confirms that the Bachour, once named one of the top ten pastry chefs in America, will remain on board at J&G Grill at the St. Regis Bal Harbour Resort, where he's been baking up a storm for the past few years after leaving his post at Quattro. But as for his own spot, it will be a 1,700-square-foot space in which Bachour will also dole out, in addition to baked goods and sweets, "'high-end' breakfast and lunch."
Bachour tells Eater he and business partner, Henry Hane, plan to open the bakery summer 2015. The chef adds that in addition to desserts, macarons, bonbons and breakfast pastries, they'll also be making custom wedding cakes. Stay tuned for more.
