Take a Peek at a Vintage Tobacco Road Menu

Hails from 1944

Look at those prices! Fifty cents for almost everything. This is a picture of Tobacco Road’s menu from 1944. The restaurant and watering hole, which held the city’s oldest liquor license, closed its doors in late 2014 to much fanfare and even a cover piece in the New York Times.

It promises to come back. When, however, remains to be seen.
