The executive chef role at Piripi is vacant once again. Its new executive chef, Angelina Bastidas, has left her post after three months. She was brought to replace the restaurant’s opening chef Najat Kaanache who left in June after an employee labor scandal erupted.
Bastidas tells Eater that her and ownership weren’t "on the same page about how the restaurant should be run," but that she "wishes nothing bust the best of luck with their future."
As for what’s next for her she says she has a few projects in the works and will be appearing on a TV show in December, but she couldn’t reveal any more details than that. No word on who might be replacing her at Piripi.
