It’s been reported that 5411 Empanadas, a Chicago-based empanada store, is opening its first location outside of Chicago in none other than the unofficial empanada capital of the U.S.: Miami. The store is setting up shop in Coral Gables next month on the corner of Galliano and Miracle Mile. It will sell 15 different flavors of the stuffed dough pockets — baked, not fried — ranging from bacon and date to spinach and cheese to Nutella and banana. It will also offer up beer and coffee. No opening date has been set yet. We just know for now it’ll be in November.
