Remember when China Grill closed its doors to its iconic Miami Beach location in 2012 and said its going to set up shop in Brickell? Yeah. Us too. Well it seems like that's now finally happening... well sort of.
It's been reported that the China Grill's owner Jeffrey Chodorow is reopening the space he once had planned for China Grill as Komodo in November of this year. And added to the mix is nightlife guru and Kardashian bestie, David Grutman, who has been brought on as a partner.
The restaurant will be a quaint three-level, 17,000-square-foot indoor/outdoor spot with seating for 275. Keeping the the China Grill theme, it will serve Asian-inspired cuisine like Peking duck, dumplings and a 15-vegetable chopped salad, all prepared by chefs from other kitchens in the China Grill Management umbrella like Asia de Cuba in NYC.
The restaurant will open for dinner in November, with lunch and a third-floor lounge coming shortly there after. Stay tuned for more updates.
