On Monday, November 16, Eater Miami will present the 2015 Eater Awards, our sixth annual celebration of all that's made the restaurant world run — and run wild — in the past 12 months. Winners will be selected on both the local and national levels in five major categories, and the voting begins right now. First up: Restaurant of the Year.
Here's a primer on the nominees. The much-anticipated Alter certainly lived up to the hype becoming one of the year's most well-reviewed and well-received restaurants by both critics and patrons alike. The retro-chic Vagabond Restaurant helped make the Upper East Side a bonafide dining destination with its funky drinks and deliciously progressive comfort food. The Bar Lab guy's first foray into restaurants with 27 proved to Miami they know more than just cocktails serving up an eclectic menu of South Florida inspired fare. And finally, Proof Pizza & Pasta showed us that Miami knows a thing or two about pizza (and pasta) and made us question why we would ever eat a macaron without ice cream in the center. Now Miami it's your turn to vote for your favorite restaurant of the year. NOW CLOSED
Here's how the voting works across the board: Eater editors have named nominees for each of five major categories. Eater readers will vote, narrowing the nominees to two finalists. From those three finalists, the Eater editorial team will select a winner. Ready to play your part? This poll will be open for 24 hours; voting irregularities will be strictly policed.
