The first Florida outpost of the incredibly popular Talde Restaurant opens up tonight. The restaurant, which has locations in NYC and New Jersey, serves up Asian-American cuisine by Top Chef alum Dale Talde, along with partners David Massoni and John Bush.
The menu for the South Beach spot isn’t much different than its northeastern counterparts, serving up dishes that made the restaurant famous like pretzel pork and chive dumplings, crab fried rice, Korean fried chicken and whole roasted fish. The drinks are a mix of the restaurant classics along with the more Miami-inspired options, all created by Bush himself.
Talde’s quirky décor features a 150-year-old Chinese dragon overlooking the lounge area, booth seating held inside a shipping container, hand-painted designs by Brooklyn-based artist Mr. Ewok One, and an image of Dale Talde with bikini-clad models perched above the hostess stand.
Talde Miami Beach is now open inside the Thompson Miami Beach at 4041 Collins Avenue. The restaurant will be open for dinner nightly at 6 p.m.; the bar and lounge will be open from 6 p.m. to 4 a.m. Thursday through Saturday with a bar menu served until 2 a.m. Call 786-605-1094 for more information.
