If you are one of the many critics of the World’s 50 Best Restaurants list you now have a new alternative — thanks to France. The French Foreign Ministry released its own top 1,000 restaurant list in the world over the weekend called La Liste, and unlike the World’s 50 Best list, a Miami restaurant actually gets some recognition.
NAOE, Brickell Key’s high-end omakase restaurant, came in at 535th in the world and 23rd in the U.S. on the La Liste. According to Eater National, La Liste was created with, "analyzed data from 200 dining guides in 92 countries including Michelin and Zagat and also drew on information from sites like TripAdvisor and OpenTable." But the project wasn’t a cheap running the French Ministry close to $329,000 to create. Find out all the winners this way.
