A Mermaid Themed, Pop-Up Oyster Bar Comes to Coconut Grove This Weekend

Jumping on Miami's 'oyster mania' craze this weekend is the pop up oyster bar The Typsy Mermaid by Coconut Grove based event planning company Lasso the Moon.

Open February 14-16 from 11:30 a.m. until 7p.m. daily it'll serve up a concise menu of Island Creek oysters by the half-shell or in shooter form, lobster rolls and tempura battered haricot vert. Guests can wash it all down with beverages like Billecart-Salmon Brut Rose, $8 glasses of house bubbly, Belgian beers, PBRs and French pink lemonade.

While it is only a three-day stint for the The Typsy Mermaid this time around the concept could pop up again soon with its press release teasing, "since mermaids live forever, there’s a chance you’ll see her in Coconut Grove for a very long while."
