Two Miami Chefs Named James Beard Award Semfinalists

Yesterday, the James Beard committee released its list of semifinalists for the 2015 Restaurant and Chef Awards. Two familiar faces in Miami's culinary scene, José Mendín of the Pubbelly Group and Giorgio Rapicavoli of Eating House, were both named as semifinalists in the "Best Chef South" category.

Neither chefs are first time nominees, this nomination is the fourth for Mendín and second for Rapicavoli. The finalists will be announced on Tuesday, March 24 with the award ceremony taking place in Chicago on Monday, May 4. Check out the full list of nominees this way. [EaterWire]
