Veritage Miami

Downtown Miami-- The boys have challenged the girls for this year's Veritage Miami Interactive Dinner. Last year's lineup of chefs (Alberto Cabrera, Todd Erickson, Jose Mendin, Giorgio Rapicavoli, and Cesar Zapata) have challenged a new set of South Florida's culinary master minds to a trial-by-fire: feed 700 screaming, hungry mouths all in the name of charity. The challenge has been accepted by five kick-ass ladies who aren't about to back down from a bunch of boys to help benefit the United Way of Miami-Dade. The 2015 Veritage Miami Chefs are: Eileen Andrade of Finka Table & Tap, Paula DaSilva of 3030 Ocean, Cindy Hutson of Ortanique On The Mile, Dena Marino of MC Kitchen, and Adrianne Calvo of Chef Adrianne's Vineyard Restaurant & Bar. It's all going down at the Veritage Miami Interactive Dinner in the InterContinental Miami, April 17th at 6:30 p.m. Get your tickets here. [EaterWire]

South Beach-- Sunset just got a little sweeter at La Savina in South Beach. By now everyone should be well adjusted to the daylight savings time change, but just in case you need another excuse to lounge about La Savina at the Mondrian Hotel may just have exactly what you're looking for. Offering one of the best views in Miami, the Mondrian Hotel is initiating Sunset Sangria by coaxing you with Instagram worthy views over the bay and a downtown city scape where you can grab half-off sangria and 2-for-1 drink specials during Happy Hour Monday-Friday 5-7 p.m. [EaterWire]
