For more than two years it's been reported that Bagatelle's Miami outpost was on its way. Now after several delays, the modern French restaurant with locations around the globe finally opens tonight on South Beach.
Manning the kitchen is executive chef Matthieu Goddard, formerly of Boulud, who will be whipping up classic French dishes like roasted chicken and tuna tartar in the 144-seater restaurant.
The restaurant is known in other markets for its rather rowdy, champagne-filled brunches and over-the-top, $1000 ice cream sundaes. If those things make it to Miami remains to be seen — but we have a good feeling they will.
