Miami Chefs Tells Us Their Favorite Local Burger

And there were some surprises...

Michael's Genuine Food & Drink

In honor of Burger Week, we've surveyed local chefs all about burgers, and we'll share their responses throughout the week. Yesterday, chefs shared what makes a perfect burger. Today they tell us who makes it.

WHAT's The Best Burger you've had locally?

Conor Hanlon (The Dutch) Honestly I really like our burger.  L'echon Brasserie’s burger is solid, so is the Mo' betty burger from Jeremiah Bullfrog.

Nicole Votano (Fooq’s) Lokal

Josh Capon (Lure Fishbar) Michael's Genuine Food & Drink

Thomas Griese (Michael Mina 74The double cheeseburger at BTW.

Scott Conant (Corsair) The burger at Michael's is well prepared with fresh ingredients

Roel Alcudia (Cypress RoomI'm a fan of the Biscayne burger at Dogma and the Gastropod burger.

Kris Wessel (Oolite Not really any place. Years back, Churchill’s Pub when the cook wasn’t drunk.

Danny Serfer (Blue CollarThe burger at the new Houstons in Bal Harbour ( Bal Harbour Grill?). It has great pickles, bun, and bun to meat ratio.

Reuven Sugarman (Buns & BunsBesides ours, definitely Pincho Factory’s “Pincho Burger.” It encompasses everything we just listed in the previous question to make up the perfect burger, and it’s topped with lettuce, tomatoes, onions, cheese, potato sticks, and their secret pink sauce.

Jorgie Ramos (BarleyEasily the “B. Arnold” from PubGrill! ! An 8oz BGR + Canadian Bacon + White American Cheese + Fried Egg + Dill Hollandaise Sauce! Its basically eggs Benedict on a burger!

Jason Pringle (db Bistro Moderne Miami) I’m always a sucker for any burger with blue cheese and bacon on it but I’ve recently explored the varieties they have at B&B and Kush.

Aaron Taylor (STK MiamiReally enjoyed the lamb burger at Mandolin.

Alex Chang (Vagabond Restaurant)  Burger at The Cypress Room

Giorgio Rapicavoli (Eating HouseThe best burger I've had locally is at Duffy's in Coral Gables. Super simple and straight forward. Taste like the kind of burgers you make at a home BBQ. But better.

Jacob Anaya (Swine Southern Table & BarThe Swine Burger
