The bakery's owner Jim Lahey has partnered with Steven Perricone of Perricone’s Marketplace & Café to open the bakery. He tells Eater that the two met a few years ago through mutual friends.
Lahey has built quite the reputation for himself in NYC over the past 20 years with his "no-knead bread" and baked goods, selling them to more than 250 restaurants in NYC, according to the Herald. He is also currently a finalist for this year's James Beard Foundation award for Outstanding Baker.
