The somewhat drama-ridden Seaspice Restaurant has officially opened its new lounge concept dubbed Modern Garden.
While the space has been quietly open since December, the menu created by newly appointed chef Benjamin Goldman, formerly of Shikany, just began this week. On it expect plenty of fish crudos and meats seared on 850-degree volcanic stone slabs right at your table.
Like its sister restaurant Seaspice, the space is decorated to the nines with a permanent art installation of, "two large trees made and shaped from nominal lumber that spread their canopy throughout the space." And of course, it has plenty of waterfront dining.
Modern Garden is now open Tuesday through Saturday from noon to midnight. For reservations call 305-440-4200.
