What was once know as Miami Subs is rebranding itself to Miami Grill, reports The Miami Herald. The iconic South Florida chain, which used to sell mainly subs and gyros, is moving away from its trademark dish and introducing a menu filled with, "healthier options including grilled fish or hormone-free chicken, salads and fresh-baked multigrain bread," which is reflected in the name change.
There are currently around 40 Miami Grills across the country, but with the help from big-name investors like Mr. 305 himself (aka Pitbull — or Armando Christian Pérez) the chain hopes to grow its numbers into the "low thousands" in the next ten years with locations across the country and the world, says the Herald.
Miami Grills have already opened up Cutler Bay and Miami Springs, with locations planned for Miami Beach, Margate, Pembroke Pines, Miami Gardens, Pompano Beach and Davie later this year. [The Miami Herald]
