Michael Schwartz's Summertime Pop-Up Ella Now Open

Inside the Design District’s Palm Court

Ella

While most restaurateurs avoid opening in South Florida during the summer months,Michael Schwartz has decided to buck that trend and has officially opened his latest concept ella for the summer months.

Named after Schwartz’s eldest daughter, ella serves a "light" breakfast, lunch, and late afternoon food and drink menu. Expect dishes like avocado toast, 9-Grain pancakes, beet-cured wild salmon on homemade bagels, vegetable tacos, heirloom tomato salad, and of course, lots of Michael’s Genuine very own Home Brew.

The space, which was designed with help from Ella herself, is described as "light and airy" with lots of windows, light colors and art from Craig Robins’ personal collection hanging on the walls. There is indoor counter seating for eight and seating outdoors for up to 40 with umbrella-shaded tables.

Ella is located in the Design District’s Palm Court, 140 NE 39th Street, space 136 and is open from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Monday to Saturday and noon to 5 p.m. on Sunday.
