Wapo Taco Opening Coral Gables Location This Summer

Second South Florida location

Wapo Taco

Miami can't seem to kick the "taco mania" trend as another taqueria is coming our way. The latest addition is Wapo Taco, the Mexico City based taco concept, coming to Coral Gables this summer.

Wapo Tacos comes from the guys behind Mexico's popular Taqueria El Farolito chain, which has more than 25 locations throughout Central and South America. They have since sold the concept and have headed to the U.S., "to bring their piece of Mexico City’s genuine flavor to The Magic City."

On the menu expect plenty of Mexican classics like guac and queso to start and tacos made with spit-fire roasted meats and corn tortillas and paletas for dessert. The Coral Gables location promises to look a lot like its Hallandale Beach sister with a large open kitchen, white walls decorated with colorful mosaic tiles and seating for up to 22 people.

No official opening date has been set right now we are only being told "summer," but when it does open it'll be located at is located at 2526 Ponce de Leon Boulevard. Stay tuned for more updates.
