A New Seafood Concept Coming to the Grove from the Guy Behind LoKal and Kush

Called The Spillover, opening later this summer

Coconut Grove's Mayfair

Add another restaurant to the growing list of concepts making their way to Coconut Grove. The Miami New Times is reporting that Matt Kuscher, the owner of the Grove's LoKal and Wynwood's Kush, is opening a seafood concept in called The Spillover later this year.

The article says that the restaurant is shooting to open by the end of the summer and plans to take over a space directly across from the former Coconut Grove Miami Improv location in the Mayfair, right down the street from Kuscher's LoKal.

He tells the New Times that, "it's basically our seafood version of Lokal," with a menu filled with "local seafood, wine, ciders, and meat." His aim is to keep the concept "affordable" with dishes running from $10-30 along with plenty of outdoor, pet-friendly seating.  No official opening date set yet. Stay tuned for updates.
