Late yesterday, Miami.com reported that the Miami Beach outpost of Siena Tavern had closed "for the season," per the restaurant's voicemail message. U-Hauls were spotted loading up items from the space to clear it out yesterday afternoon.
The article goes on to say that, "Siena Tavern said the restaurant will continue to book private events through the summer with an eye toward an eventual re-opening."
Rumors have been swirling for weeks that the owners of the property, Dineamic Hospitality Group, were very quietly trying to lease the space out. The Miami.com article cites that the massive size of the restaurant could have had something to do with it saying, "re-opening would include a "remodel ... so that size-wise it's more conducive to the Miami market.""
Stay tuned for updates for when and where Siena Tavern may re-emerge. [Miami.com]
