Michael Schwartz Closing His Namesake Grand Cayman Restaurant

Final service on Sunday, August 30

The Genuine Hospitality Group

Just a week after celebrating its fifth anniversary, the Grand Cayman location of Michael's Genuine Food & Drink has announced it will be closing for good on Sunday, August 30.

Per a press release Schwartz says, "it’s never easy to close the book on a project you feel genuinely proud of, but it’s time to move on." The release goes on to state that his focus will be on "growing the core business from Miami" including upcoming projects like the soon-to-be open Harry's Pizzeria in Coconut Grove and his project inside Paraiso Bay.

If you had plans to visit the island sometime this summer, don't fret, it's still business as usual for the restaurant until closing.
