We finally know who is replacing the chef de cuisine position at Azul left vacant by William Crandall last month — it's none other than Crandall's former sous chef, Benjamin Murray.

Murray has worked in kitchens in Arizona and Massachusetts before making his way to South Florida doing stints at neighboring restaurants Zuma and Area 31 prior to Azul. He plans on releasing a "progressive new menu of modern American cuisine with Asian influences" later this summer.

Azul is known for cultivating plenty of talent in South Florida's culinary scene since its opening in 2000. Notable chefs that have served as the restaurant's chef de cuisine include Michelle Bernstein, Jacob Anaya, Clay Conley and Crandall.
