Hotels in Miami are certainly stepping up their food game. Yesterday Food & Wine Magazine's blog reported that the upcoming Miami Beach Faena Hotel has named three big chefs to help them run their kitchens.
The chefs include Austin's Paul Qui who will be opening his first restaurant out of Texas in the hotel, which Food & Wine speculates in the article will be, "uber-inventive and amazing." Then there is L.A. chef Gabriel Ask, who has trained under Thomas Keller, Joël Robuchon and Alain Ducasse, coming in as the hotel's executive chef. Finally they are bringing in South American "grilling genius" and current Chef's Table star, Francis Mallmann, to open his first restaurant in the U.S. called, "Los Fuegos."
No additional details about the concepts were given. All we know is the property is projected to open sometime in November. Stay tuned for more updates. [Food & Wine]
