Local Chef Picked as Finalist for Prestigious Culinary Competition

Only chef in the Southeast picked for the ment’or BKB Foundation competition led by Daniel Boulud and Thomas Keller

South Florida's own Ryan Peters has been picked as a finalist in this year' ment’or BKB Foundation 2015 Young Chef Competition Series.

The prestigious competition is chaired by culinary greats Daniel Boulud and Thomas Keller, where 16 semi-finalists between the ages of 22-27 compete in a Bocuse d’Or-style challenge, with the winning team in each city being awarded $10,000, which may be used to stage at the restaurant of their choice.

Peters is currently a chef at Ocean Reef Club in Key Largo. He'll be competing in the September 17 competition in Chicago as the only chef from the Southeast in the mix.
