Miami sure has gotten its fix of 'celebrity chefs' in the past few months. The latest one to venture down to South Florida is Alex Guarnaschelli, who plans to open a restaurant called the Nautilus Cabana Club inside the new Nautilus Hotel at 1825 Collins Avenue this October, Miami.com reports.
The restaurant will be "beachy and fun," Guarnaschelli tells Miami.com, with a menu consisting of "grilled fish, simple salads with a Mediterranean influence and made with the best ingredients Miami has to offer."
The space will be operated by China Grill Management, who has brought on chef de cuisine Lucas Marino — who worked with Guarnaschelli's at her now defunct NYC eatery The Darby — to help run the day-to-day operations of the restaurant's kitchen, according to Miami.com.
No official opening date has been announced. Stay tuned for more details. [Miami.com]
