Morimoto South Beach Closing September 30

Open just for one year

Marmot South Beach

Seems like not even Iron Chefs are immune to Miami's brutual restaurant closings of late. The most recent closing announcement is from Morimoto South Beach, which will close for good on September 30, Miami.com reports.

Rumors that the restaurant was shuttering have been circulating for a while, and the restaurant plans to shut its doors for good almost a year to the day that it opened inside the Shelborne Wyndham Grand.

According to Miami.com, a new restaurant will be taking over the space by Art Basel. No word yet on what it might be. Stay tuned for more updates.
