Fast Casual Greek Concept Ergon Comes to South Florida

Opens locations in Coconut Grove and Weston; first two US outposts for Greek company

Ergon Coconut Grove

Popular Greek eatery, Ergon, has made its way to America. The fast casual chain, which already has nine locations across the world, opened its Coconut Grove location at 2982 Grand Avenue over the weekend and its Weston outpost at 1793 Bell Tower Lane today.

With both owners originally from Greece, their aim with the restaurant is to serve authentic Greek cuisine, not the "Americanized Greek" cuisine that is popular in the States. The menu is filled with a variety of spreads, sandwiches made on Zak the Baker bread, deconstructed gyros made with pork belly and lamb, a Greek yogurt bar with pick-your-own toppings and cheese and spinach pies that are shipped in from Greece a few times a week.

The restaurant also has an extensive prepared foods selection that sells all the olive oils, honeys, pastas, jams, coffee and even the cheese and spinach pies that the restaurant features on its menu.

Both locations are now open daily from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Check out the entire menu here.
