Over the weekend we got word that Fooq's chef Nicole Votano had parted ways with the popular downtown Miami eatery in order to join the culinary team at vegetable-centered "fine food fast" restaurant DIRT opening this October.
Votano is coming in as chef de cuisine, working alongside the restaurant's Executive Chef Jonathan Seningen, whom she met SEED Food & Wine Festival’s Conscious Bite Out dinner in June.
This won't be Vontano's first foray into the world of healthy cuisine as she also previously owned and operated Slenderlicious, a meal delivery service that delivered healthy meals to homes and offices. As of now, no word who might replace Votano at Fooq's.
