Urban Daddy

Labor Day was created as a yearly national tribute to the hard workers of this country. It also bears the burden of having to let everyone know that summer is over.

Thankfully for us in Miami, this means no more sweating the minute you step outside. And what better way to celebrate the anticipated 70°F winter and a Monday off than by eating and partying your way through the weekend?

Here's a round-up of Labor Day feasts. If you plan diligently, you can actually make it to all of them.

FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 4

Shake Shack Labor Day Specials

When: Friday through Monday
Where: Shake Shack Lincoln Road & Coral Gables
The Situation: Two specialties are making a limited-time-only bittersweet appearance this weekend at Shake Shack. The Shack Corn Dog, dipped in Shack-made corn batter, and the Peach Pie Oh My Concrete, a creamy vanilla custard blended with a slice of Shack-made peach pie, will both be on the menu.

White Party @ Hyde Beach

When: Starting at 10 p.m.
Where: Hyde Beach at SLS South Beach
The Situation: Moet and Chandon are sponsoring a huge Labor Day party at Hyde Beach where the only requirement is to wear white. Manchester DJs EC TWINS will be headlining the festivities along with decadently decorated stilt walkers, mermaids in an illuminated pool and other things that scream "Miami."
