The people behind the popular fried chicken at Yardbird Southern Table and Bar have now introduced it for the masses their new fast-casual, Southern-inspired concept, Spring Chicken.
This a return to his roots of sorts for John Kunkel, CEO and founder of 50 Eggs, who created the national fast-casual chain Lime Fresh Mexican Grill. On the Spring Chicken menu guests will find plenty of the popular Yardbird items like the blue plate specials, family meals, "mama’s biscuits" and of course, fried chicken, at prices much lower than its Yardbird counterpart. The Coral Gables location we’re told is the "flagship restaurant" and is located right by the University of Miami campus at 1514 S. Dixie Highway. It is open Sunday through Thursday 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.
