The poke boom is South Florida is certainly underway. The latest concept to debut in the area is called Poke House, which opened its doors to the public on Monday at 666 Federal Highway.

On the menu expect make-your-own bowls with a variety of proteins like tuna, salmon, on a variety of different bases and choice of 20 different sauces like chipotle mayo, aji amarillo lime, crispy lotus, black radish and more. Don’t want to think it all out? Then have one of the restaurants suggested bowl combos.

Along with poke bowls it also features items like poke bowls, mini tacos and steamed buns along with chocolate mousse and even a dessert poke made of fruit.

And unlike a lot of poke spots, this one has plenty of adult beverages on hand like sake infusions such as mango-habanero sake and charred pineapple sake, plus sake both on draft and by the bottle; white and rosè wine on draft and Big Island microbrew beers from Kona Brewing Company.

The fast casual eatery is the brainchild of SBE alum Memphis Garrett along with his partners actor AJ Buckley (of CSI:NY fame), Jason “Archie” Armstrong, Artie & Sara Baxter and Peter Walsh, who have plans to open five additional outposts throughout Florida.

The Poke House is now open for lunch and dinner seven days per week from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.
