Move over Wynwood — the newest neighborhood on the scene is… Allapattah? That might just be the case once Cesar Morales, the man behind Wynwood hot spots like Wood Tavern and The Bar Next Door, debuts his two latest concepts Taberna Las Rosas and Allapattah Market later this month.
According to the Miami New Times, Taberna adopted its name from a dive bar that used to be in the space at 2898 NW 7th Ave Miami, but no concept has yet to be officially decided, even though in its Craigslist job listing it describes itself as “a rebellious dive bar in Allapattah with a tequila problem. Morales also promises to keep prices at Taberna “affordable” with drinks ranging just between $6 to $10.
His other concept, Allapattah Market, will be just that — a market. According to its website more than 100 vendors have already signed on to be part of the open air, 10,000-square-foot market, many of them being vendors already showcased at Wood’s market that happens the last Sunday of the month. The site also adds that a "15,000 square feet of bar, restaurant and entertainment space is under development.”
No official opening dates have been set. Stay tuned for more details.
