Florida is about to get its fish taco fix, as California-based, fast casual chain, Rubio’s Coastal Grill, opens its first outpost in Florida in Downtown Miami at 7 W. Flagler Street.
Opening its doors today, this will be one of many new Rubio’s popping up around town. Earlier this year, the chain announced it had purchased eight Lime Fresh Mexican Grills across Florida, from its parent company Ruby Tuesdays, that it planned to turn into Rubio’s locations.
The 30-year-old chain — which recently got a revamp — focuses heavily on seafood-filled tacos, burritos, salads and bowls, plus many of the other usual suspects like nachos, quesadillas and enchiladas.
The additional Florida locations in Miami, Ft. Lauderdale, St. Petersburg, Tampa and Winter Park, are scheduled to open throughout the end of 2016.
The restaurant is now open Monday to Saturday 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Call 786-655-8250 for more information.
